SELLER POLICY
1. General Policies and Rules:

SportALook policies and rules are the common guidelines that create a safe, trusted and fair trading environment for all SportALook members. To promote a safe and trusted trading environment, SportALook enforces these polices and rules.

User Agreement/Seller Terms of Use: This is the most important SportALook policy and rule document. All members are responsible for reviewing and understanding SportALook’s policies and the all applicable laws and regulations contained in this legal agreement.

Intellectual Property: SportALook has zero tolerance for any intellectual property violations. Please notify us in case any violation has occurred on Sportalook.com, with our knowledge we shall take appropriate action as soon as such violations are brought to our notice.

SportALook’s rules and policies are designed to:


  • Minimize risks to both buyers and sellers
  • Support government laws and regulations
  • Provide equal opportunity to all buyers and sellers
  • Protect intellectual property rights
  • Provide an enjoyable buying experience
  • Support the values of the SportALook Community

Violations of policy may result in penalty. Imposition of penalty amount is decided at the sole discretion of SportALook. This penalty amount is a compensation for any default made by the seller.

2. Keyword Spamming Policy:

Keyword spamming occurs when sellers place inappropriate keywords in a title or description for the purpose of gaining attention or diverting members to a listing. Keyword spamming in listings is not permitted on Sportalook.com. The text sellers place in listings must be directly relevant to the item being sold. Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Product Listings rejection
  • Product Listing cancellation
  • Limits on account privileges
  • Account suspension
3. Links Policy:

Links that point to a third-party provider's Website are not allowed, such as image hosting sites, payment processors or courier companies. SportALook does not allow links to non-SportALook sites or content where other items are offered for sale. SportALook continually reviews links on the site and reserves the right to block any link considered unsafe for our members. As a seller, please make sure that your listing follows links policy of SportALook. If it does not, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including but not limited to curtailing your selling privileges and/or suspension of your account, may also result in a legal action against you depending upon on the severity of the transgression.

4. Intellectual Property:

SportALook is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of third parties and to providing a safe marketplace to trade. Unauthorized use or Infringement of copyrighted material and trademarks are strictly prohibited at Sportalook.com. Do not list products at Sportalook.com unless you are authorized to do so. You will also be submitting necessary documents at the time of registration as a seller and while conducting trade on the website to confirm your authorization of dealing in the same.

5. Pricing Policy:

Please note that trust is the most important aspect of trade between buyers and sellers in marketplace and one of the key aspects of trust is fair pricing. For healthy transaction flow at Sportalook.com, we ask you to price your items responsibly. Please note that we are constantly monitoring prices for each seller at various channels and do not allow you to price your items at higher prices at Sportalook.com vs. other channels such as your own retail store, your own Website (if any) or any other 3rd party retail stores or Websites. You should price your items sold at Sportalook.com to be same as the lowest rate you are selling at elsewhere or even lower but it should not be more. Violation of our pricing policy will result into marketplace deciding the pricing/giving additional discounts on the products/warning notices and can also result into account suspension and/or store suspension.

6. Honesty in MRP:

Please note the trust you build with your buyers will go away if you artificially start showing higher MRP, so that the selling price appears to be much better deal vs. what it actually is. Artificially increasing MRP is strictly prohibited at SportALook.com and any violation will result into account suspension.

7. Customer Communication Policy

Sellers at Sportalook.com are prohibited to engage in direct communication with buyers for any pre-book, order, payments, shipping, post-sale or returns related matters. Sellers are also not allowed to engage in direct or indirect marketing, communication with buyers at Sportalook.com. For specific product inquiries, warranties, shipping/delivery etc., Sportalook.com can intermediate the communication between buyer and sellers. However, sellers should not be engaged in communication with the buyers.

Violations of policy may result in a range of actions including:

  • Product Listing cancellation
  • Limits on account privileges
  • Account suspension
8. Seller Fulfilment:

Once you on-board Sportalook.com as a Seller you are automatically a part of the Seller Fulfilment. Under this service, you are responsible for processing and managing your orders and inventory, the stock of your product listings need to be updated on a regular basis according to the stock remaining, no product will remain out of stock for more than 24hrs if under production and/or available on your website and/or other websites, any product listing that has been discontinued by the seller needs to be immediately notified to us, you will take care of the Quality Check & Packaging while SportALook manages Shipment & Delivery through our Courier Partners. Once you have packed your orders and marked RTD/Ready-to-ship, our courier partner representative will collect this package and deliver it to the respective customer.

SportALook provides you a basic training of how to process your orders and how to fulfil these orders through demo videos available in Seller dashboard on Seller portal. You need to be a registered Seller for the same.

  • Only use SportALook Branded Packaging Material to pack the products (available for purchase at Seller Dashboard)
  • Ensure that the packed product is same as the ordered product and of best quality
  • Product Package must include product invoice and shipping slip/label

9. Fee Structure:

With transparent delivery charges based on the weight and dimensions of your products and a small fixed fee, selling on Sportalook.com is highly cost-efficient. SportALook runs on a Pay only when you Sell concept. Launch your store with free registration and list your products through Seller Dashboard on our seller portal that also offers promotions.

We do not charge for sign-up or online store monthly subscription or insertion fee for listing. We charge selling service fee on only successful order by categories plus applicable service tax. 

SportALook’s Marketplace Fee Structure

Shipping fees

To ensure ease of selling and the best possible customer experience, we mandate delivery to all customers via our logistics partners and deduct the shipping cost from the selling price before making a payment to you. Shipping fee is calculated on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. This is to account for items which are lightweight but occupy a lot of shipping space.

If our logistics partner is unable to pick up/deliver the product package from Seller location/Buyer location because the respective pincode is unserviceable for the current moment only then the Seller can Self Ship the product package and share all the details with SportALook. For volumetric weight calculation, all sides are measured in cm.

10. Service Level Agreement (SLA):

SLA refers to all the terms and conditions between Seller and Marketplace. In this case, it is specifically about the agreed time taken for Sellers to dispatch their product with the courier once an order has been placed by the customer on the Sportalook.com (Website).

SportALook’s SLA shipment time is 48 hours. Our SLA is one way to make sure that your product reaches your customer on time, reducing cancellations.

Seller shall ensure that the purchased Product is dispatched to the Buyer, within Shipment SLA, along with all the required information, manuals, accessories (where applicable) warranty documents (where applicable) and any other relevant documents, to enable the Buyer to optimally use the Product purchased.

The Seller hereby agrees and acknowledges that it shall be liable to pay 100% of the Payment Collection Fees and SportALook Marketplace Fees due towards Sportalook.com if the Seller could not ship the Product within the Shipment SLA.

Seller shall deliver the orders in accordance with the time-line mentioned. Seller confirms and acknowledges that SportALook reserves its right to refund any order with prior information to the Seller in case of Shipment SLA breach and the Seller shall direct the Courier Partner to return the shipment. In case, the Product is delivered to Customer, the loss of product value shall be to Seller’s account.

Since SportALook has to maintain a basic hygiene with regards to delivery timelines, a Seller is charged a flat cost (penalty) when he does not confirm, pack, and ship a product in a given timeline i.e 48 hours.

SportALook SLA is an agreement that Sellers must comply with, come what may. Sellers cannot afford to miss these SLAs because failure may result in penalties, cancellation of orders or even temporary suspension/deactivation of their account.
